From a poolside lounge to a stage in the middle of the water, and to a kids' area—there is something for everyone here. The highlight is an infinity pool that overlooks the ocean. It is the best place in the resort to watch the sun set.
BEACH
Enjoying Peace and Quiet on the Beach
HOSHINOYA Okinawa overlooks the beautiful beaches on the west coast of Yomitan Village. Experience special moments while gazing at the stunning sunset and listening to the calming sound of waves. In front of the site, there is an unspoiled, natural beach where you can calmly observe the ever-changing coral reefs. You can also enjoy swimming in the pristine ocean at one of the neighboring beaches.
- Gima Beach
The coast that spreads out in front of your room is a natural coast that is rare even in Okinawa nowadays. The sea is surrounded by a rich coral reef called Inou, and is home to a wide variety of fish. In HOSHINOYA Okinawa, no excavation was performed to protect this natural shore, and architectural design was carried out using the beautiful rocky areas and native vegetation. Escape from bustle looking over the sea, and enjoy a walk along the seaside where the tide changes.
- Nirai Beach
The charming white sand beach. You can swim in the characteristic shallow waters of Okinawa. It is a 5-minute drive from HOSHINOYA Okinawa and offers free transfers. We can also rent parasols and chairs.

EXPLORING YOMITAN
Natural and Cultural Hotspots In and Around Yomitan
This ancient gusuku, which is a World Heritage Site, features a long fortification wall that weaves beautifully along the scenery. A museum on the site conveys the history of Yomitan.
Thirty-meter cliffs line this 2-km long promontory—one of few places in Okinawa where one can watch the spectacle of sea foam flying in the air as waves crash against rocks. On a clear day, one can see the distant Kerama Islands.
This historic building was once the political and administrative center of Yomitan. Today, it is a highway stop where one can find information on places to visit and shops that sell local produce and food products.
Yachimun is a traditional Okinawan style of pottery. This village is home to 19 yachimun workshops where visitors can watch artisans working in a traditional setting. They can also purchase pieces to take home as souvenirs.
One of the most pristine beaches in Okinawa, Nirai Beach is located by shoals that are perfect for swimming and other water sports. During low tide, a host of colorful sea creatures can be observed among the reefs.
Desserts and light meals are served at this oceanside café. Visitors can relax inside on wide sofas or lounge in a gazebo on the immaculately preserved beach.
This restaurant offers familiar fare such as hamburgers, as well as grilled meat, marinated in oils gently flavored with Okinawan spices and herbs, and grilled seafood—all accompanied by stunning ocean views.
