HOSHINOYA Guguan is located on top of a plateau, giving the resort the look and feel of a mountaintop water garden--one suffused with rich alpine mineral and hot spring waters.
The resort's water is supplied by a waterfall at the far end of the outdoor baths, as well as a pond near the spa building. Streams of mineral water flow past the outdoor baths and through the premise's bamboo forest, feeding into numerous waterbodies before merging and continuing into the landscape. The water is channeled through flower-lined canals, engineered to enhance the acoustics of the water as it wends its way among the lush trees, providing the perfect setting for pleasant walks.
The pool and hot spring baths are placed along the contours of these waterways, further enhancing the water garden concept. Whether in the restaurant, spa, hot springs, pool, or library, one is never far away from water--the resort's ever-present source of comfort.
